“This is Last Words”
A podcast shedding light on humanity’s most universal yet most avoided topic – death. Last Words, a podcast about death and dying. We aim to be a podium for the dying, so that they can leave behind a living legacy.
After being diagnosed with an aggressive form of melanoma skin cancer in May of 2020 during COVID-19. Our Founder Nic Main, had to question his own mortality for the first time in his life.
Locked in a deep state of isolation during recovery and with an unknown prognosis, Nic asked himself – “If I died today, who would hear my last words?”
3 years later, Last Words was officially founded in New Harmony, Indiana on October 25th, 2023. Nic would sit down with his mother in his friend’s home, 2 months prior to her death with one goal: preserve her life story.
That is why “Last Words” came to life. To be the bridge between life and death.
Last Words is a free service that has recorded in over 7 states and counting. We aim to provide a multicultural view on life and death through our platform. Through the podium we provide, we ensure that we are just there to guide and record the story. Through our audio-recorded podcast we ensure that we are allowing guests to feel at comfort recording in their own home, or a trusted nearby facility.
